Patrik Laine Takes Part in His First Regular Practice, as the Canadiens Make an Announcement

We have news about Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine.

As we reported earlier this morning, Laine hit the ice for a solo skate before the morning practice, but the big question was whether he would stay with the Canadiens for the regular practice.

The answer is yes!

Patrik Laine stayed for the Canadiens’ full practice!

You can guess this is fantastic news, and it marked the first practice for the 6-foot-5 forward.

«It seems that Laine is staying and participating in his first practice since suffering a knee sprain.» – Eric Engels

The Canadiens later confirmed this, sharing images as proof:

Yes, it’s starting to look like Laine is gearing up for a return to action!

Laine, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-5, 208-pound forward with 388 points in 480 NHL career games (204 goals).

He was acquired by Kent Hughes a few months ago from the Columbus Blue Jackets, and we are truly excited to see him back in uniform.

Laine’s return is likely to come at a perfect time, just as the Canadiens are slowly finding their rhythm. It will also be interesting to see where head coach Martin St-Louis places him.

With Nick Suzuki? On the second line with Jake Evans? With Kirby Dach, if the he is shifted back to being the team’s second center?

If it were up to you and you were in MSL’s shoes, what would you do?
