Fans had a hard time believing where Ricky Pearsall was just two days after getting shot in the chest.

The San Francisco 49ers rookie sustained a gunshot wound to said area after someone tried to rob him near Union Square on Saturday. However, he was already in the weight room working out on Monday after being released from hospital.

49ers radio analyst Tim Ryan claims to have spoken to the wide receiver on Monday and was told the above.

“I talked to him yesterday, he was actually in the weight room,” Ryan told KNBR on Tuesday. “Thank God it’s not worse than it was. … I already know this, his street cred has gone up tremendously around here.”

The internet was understandably in shock.

“He was in the where now?  Omg. 😱,” one fan wrote.

“Ricky is a stud!” another remarked.

“He’s a tough dude. Glad to see him healing up,” a comment read.

“Praise God! But also… wut?” someone replied.

“Ricky Pearsall’s resilience is truly remarkable. Back in the weight room just days after being shot. A true warrior,” another comment read.

“What? That’s crazy! A legend!” someone else exclaimed.

“Straight to the waivers I go 🤣 dude gotta be a dawg,” a user said.

Ricky Pearsall Will Miss At Least Four Games

Pearsall, a late first-round draft pick by the Niners this year, had been signing autographs before the robbery attempt. The perpetrator, a 17-year-old male, is said to have been after his Rolex watch.

The would-be robber, who was also injured after a struggle ensued and his gun went off, was arrested by police on the scene of the incident.

The wideout’s mother disclosed that the bullet went through his chest and exited through his back. Fortunately, it missed all of his vital organs.

San Francisco has opted to keep him inactive for at least the first four games of the season.
