The Kansas City Chiefs are arguably the best team in the NFL after starting the season 5-0. The only other NFL team to begin the season with an undefeated record was the Minnesota Vikings, and the two are both on their bye weeks.

The Chiefs are getting the break following a solid matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The game made headlines for many reasons, one of which had NFL fans questioning the league.

Following the game, a photo surfaced on X, and it’s currently going viral of one Chiefs fan sporting a full-on native headdress. The post came from a mock Washington Redskins account, and it was captioned, “The double standard of the NFL.”

One NFL fan commented sternly, criticizing the Washington team’s former owners. “It’s not the NFL, it’s the shitty Redskin ownership and the woke DC area. Chiefs ownership stood up to the woke BS,” they said.

Another fan made a point, claiming that the names of the NFL teams aren’t meant to be a sign of disrespect to the people. “I want the name back as bad as anyone else! But I DONT want every other Native American team name to be extinguished like ours!”

However, after all is said and done, the photo simply wasn’t real as Arrowhead Stadium banned the headdresses years ago; as one fan pointed out, “That’s not at Arrowhead! That’s a photoshopped pic from somewhere else. Arrowhead banned them years ago.”

If one thing is certain, we certainly won’t see anything like this next week and beyond simply because the stadium banned it. The Chiefs will be back in action in week seven when they face off against the San Francisco 49ers.
