Over the years, sports fans have noticed a significant increase in ticket prices for various events. This rise in costs has created a substantial barrier for many individuals who are eager to attend their favorite sporting events live. In contrast to these rising costs, newly elected President Donald Trump has made bold claims.

During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Let’s Go!” podcast, Trump made a significant claim about American professional sports leagues’ unreasonably high ticket prices. He stated that these prices are “impossible” for fans and expressed his intention to “work on” addressing this issue.

“Your middle class, which is your biggest sports fans, are being priced out. It’s not fair. The leagues are not taking care of their fans. They really aren’t. They’re making it impossible… been a supporter for many years, they’d have season tickets, all of a sudden the price goes up 10 times and they can’t afford it anymore.” Trump said before Election Day.

Trump’s statement surprised NBA fans, who began praising him in the comments section of NBA Central’s post on X. One fan remarked, “He makes Knicks games affordable, and I might have to owe him an apology.”

Meanwhile, another fan mentioned, “wai hold on let him cook.”

Another fan commented, “Donald Trump is already the people’s president right from the jump.”

Another fan commented, “Let him cook. I wanna go to a knick playoff game.”

A sports enthusiast reacted, “THATS MY PRESIDENT!”

Another fan commented, “The hero we need?”

Another fan mentioned, “President of the people.”

Trump Indicates Plans To Confront High Price For Tickets

The average ticket price for an NBA regular-season game is approximately $53, but this price can vary significantly based on several factors. For example, games featuring popular teams such as the New York Knicks or the Los Angeles Lakers tend to have higher average ticket prices. According to Sportscasting, the average ticket price for a Knicks game is around $186, while for a Lakers game, it is about $144.

Trump addressed the increase in ticket prices for popular games, emphasizing that many of his employees, who are passionate about sports, have encountered difficulties stemming from the rising costs. He has proposed a strategy to address this concern; however, the specifics of this plan have not been disclosed.

“I know what to do. That’s something I would work on. You’d be surprised at what I’d have to say about it.” Trump said.

Trump has frequently commented on the NBA and its players. Recently, he surprised NBA fans with his bold claims regarding the star player of the Milwaukee Bucks. If Trump succeeds in his plans, every fan will have the opportunity to watch their favorite team play live.
