Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau’s little sister, Katie Gaudreau, has just made a promise to her brothers.
Katie, who was just hours away from getting married when tragedy struck her family, had another heartfelt message to share with her big brothers.
Amidst the terrible hardship they are enduring, it’s incredibly moving to see how strong and inspiring Meredith Gaudreau (Johnny Gaudreau’s wife), Madeline Gaudreau (Matthew’s wife), and Katie Gaudreau are.
They don’t hesitate to speak from the heart publicly and, most importantly, pay beautiful tributes to their men.
They aren’t afraid to talk about it, which takes an incredible amount of courage.
Katie Gaudreau makes a promise to her brothers after their tragic passing
The youngest of the family, who was supposed to marry her fiancé, Devin Joyce, last Friday but canceled the ceremony, just shared the following message to Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau.
She took to her Instagram account to express her immense love for her brothers and also to make them a promise.
“This message will never be a goodbye because I will never stop saying your names and honoring both of you.
I promise I will take the greatest care of mom, dad, Kristen, Mer, Madeline, and your babies.”
– Katie Gaudreau
What an incredible show of strength! It’s heartwarming to see that she is ready to care for others, even though it must be so difficult just to take care of herself right now.
And she’s right. We must continue saying their names and speaking about them to keep their memory alive and ensure they are never forgotten.
Our thoughts remain with Katie, her family, and everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.
