As you know, things aren’t going well for the Montreal Canadiens this season, with the team repeatedly delivering poor performances.
For the first time this season, in a press conference last night, head coach Martin St-Louis appeared genuinely angry, and he didn’t hold back.
There’s a particular moment that caught our attention, as noted by Mark Suciu.
«We have a fragile group right now, that’s for sure. We’re hurting ourselves. We threw up on ourselves, you know what I mean? I’m not talking about food poisoning…»
Martin St-Louis, who then admits that confidence has completely evaporated in his locker room.
Martin St-Louis admits the Montreal Canadiens have lost their confidence
Let’s just say things aren’t looking good, and it’s not exactly encouraging for what’s to come.
«Our start to the game showed we were patient and disciplined in that regard. As I said, we were in a good position going into the third period, but then we just started throwing up all over ourselves […]»
Martin St-Louis
This is a weighty statement from head coach MSL.

Hearing so clearly that the team has lost all confidence, with such a powerful metaphor, really doesn’t inspire optimism for what lies ahead.
Let’s hope the Canadiens can bounce back with a strong game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, at the very least.
Let’s also remember that Montreal suffered a 6-3 defeat against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals last night on the road.
Goalie Cayden Primeau allowed 6 goals on 34 shots.
