The young defenseman of the Montreal Canadiens, Logan Mailloux, has also just changed his jersey number.
As we reported last night, Cole Caufield changed his number in honor of Johnny Gaudreau.
Today, it’s his young teammate Logan Mailloux’s turn to follow suit.
Logan Mailloux will now wear number 24
This was noticed by a keen observer, as Mailloux is currently representing the Montreal Canadiens at the “NHLPA / Upper Deck Rookie Showcase” alongside Lane Hutson.
So, he returns to his number 24.
“Logan Mailloux and Lane Hutson are among 33 NHL prospects participating in this year’s NHLPA / Upper Deck Rookie Showcase today in Washington to take photos and videos of some of the League’s top young players in their official team uniforms.”
“If you zoom in on Logan Mailloux, you’ll notice he is now wearing number 24 — the same number he wore last season in Laval.”

Great observation! The official confirmation from the Montreal Canadiens should follow soon.
