You’re probably already aware of Georges Laraque’s famous scoop, one that was eagerly awaited by Montreal Canadiens fans.

Last night, Laraque mentioned that he had a scoop about the Canadiens, one he planned to reveal at the start of his show today (which he did).

Kent Hughes immediately denies Georges Laraque’s scoop

However, just minutes after the scoop was published, the news was indeed refuted by numerous media outlets and even directly by Kent Hughes.

«I have never spoken to Gerard Gallant in my life. The last time I saw him was at the awards ceremony in Las Vegas when he won the Jack Adams. This is not accurate information.» – Kent Hughes Via a report by La Presse

Given all this, RDS journalist Luc Gélinas has just shared additional interesting information. See his post right here:

Kent Hughes says he had dinner with Martin St-Louis and Adam Nicholas.

Clearly, Nicholas was mistaken for Gerard Gallant here:

As you can imagine, this continues to spark strong reactions on social media, and it will be interesting to hear what Georges Laraque has to say following Kent Hughes’ immediate response.

Do you still think the Montreal Canadiens are looking to add support behind the bench to better assist Martin St-Louis?
