The Canadiens’ season has been so disastrous that many have already given up.
While some have turned their attention to the Laval Rocket, who are off to a strong start, others are watching the club’s prospects.
These fans are well-served as Michael Hage and Jacob Fowler are off to a blazing start in the NCAA this season. Hage has accumulated 9 points, including 4 goals, in as many games with the University of Michigan, while Fowler already boasts a 7-1-0 record with no fewer than three shutouts.
However, there are other prospects worthy of attention, and I’m not talking about Ivan Demidov here.
Like Hage and Fowler, another member of the Canadiens has made a name for himself early this season in the NCAA, and that’s Sam Harris.

In 9 games this season with the University of Denver, the 133rd pick from the 2023 Draft currently leads the NCAA in goals with 9. He also ranks 7th among scorers with 13 points.
It remains to be seen if this is just a hot streak or the beginning of a breakout for the 21-year-old. Last year, he recorded 14 goals and 7 assists in 42 games.
Harris’s journey, like those of Hage and Fowler, will be interesting to follow this season. Denver is the top team in the NCAA and has the league’s top two scorers in Jack Devine and Aidan Thompson, each with 17 points.
