The athlete won the gold medal on Friday, Sept. 6, four weeks and one day after Tara won gold in the women’s long jump at the Paris Olympics

Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall are a golden couple!

The husband and wife athletes came full circle at the Paralympic Games on Friday, Sept. 6 after Hunter won the gold medal in the men’s 400m T62 — four weeks and one day after Tara took home the gold in the women’s long jump at the Paris Olympics.

After his come-from-behind victory, the former University of Arkansas star, 25, ran to the stands to hug Tara, echoing their viral embrace following her Olympic win.

“I’m so proud of you,” Tara, 25, could be heard saying to her husband.

After letting Tara go, he then let out an enthusiastic “Yeah!” to other family members as he celebrated.

On their joint Instagram account, Tara posted a video of the race, and wrote alongside: “HUNTER WOODHALL IS A PARALYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST. HIS MOMENT AND HE TOOK IT.”

Moments after crossing the finish line first, Woodhall ripped the paper bearing his name off of his jersey with glee, and held it up to the cameras. On the back was the name of his late uncle, Wyatt Woodhall, with the words, “This one is for you.”

The double-amputee runner — who was born with fibular hemimelia, a condition that prevents the lower limbs from developing properly — won the bronze in the same event at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Following her own win last month, Tara spoke to reporters, including PEOPLE, about the bond she shares with her husband.

“He’s my biggest supporter, and I guess the whole world got to see how much he supports me,” she said.

The day after his wife won gold, he shared a sweet post on Instagram celebrating her achievement.

“No words to describe how proud of you I am. No luck involved, you earned this. Discipline, work ethic, and grit. These are the moments and this is your moment. Soak it in ❤️,” he captioned a photo of the couple posing in front of the Eiffel Tower.
