The upcoming NBA season is about to start, and all the teams are getting ready for their practice camps. However, surprising news emerged on Friday about the Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Karl-Anthony Towns, who has been traded from the Timberwolves to the New York Knicks in exchange for Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, and a first-round pick via the Detroit Pistons.
Many players, analysts, and fans have been sharing their thoughts about the Towns deal. Fat Joe, an American rapper and well-known Knicks fan, expressed his opinion about the deal. He posted a video on his social media account in which he raised concerns about how Towns will perform with the Knicks.
“We needed height, but KAT allows us to open the floor even more because he hits that three with consistency. Now the big question is, is he an Anthony Davis type guy? One thing you got, with [Julius] Randle, you know he’s tough. He go’n bang it out with anybody. He’s tough, tough, tough. The only question they have about Karl-Anthony is, is he an Anthony Davis type player?” Joe said.
The American rapper praised Towns’ three-point shooting ability but questioned the Knicks’ decision and doubted the former Timberwolves star’s toughness against more prominent players in the league.
