The company EA Sports, which produces the game NHL 25, is very fond of simulations, and they’ve done one for Lane Hutson of the Montreal Canadiens.

If they aren’t projecting the upcoming season or playoffs, they enjoy simulating the careers of league prospects.

The latest player to have his career simulated is none other than Lane Hutson. According to this simulation, we’re in for a remarkable career from him. He’s even projected to have stats that place him among the best defensemen in league history.

Based on the simulation, Hutson will accumulate 1,384 points, including 339 goals, over 1,469 regular-season games. He will win two Stanley Cups and a Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP.

An Exceptional Career for Lane Hutson, According to EA Sports Simulation

Here are the other achievements predicted by the simulation:

– 1 Hart Trophy (League MVP)
– 1 Ted Lindsay Award (League MVP as voted by peers)
– 3 Norris Trophies (Defenseman of the Year)
– And most importantly, 2 Stanley Cups!

That’s quite a simulation!

Of course, this is just a simulation, and reality could be quite different. But seeing these numbers is still intriguing.

If he achieves even half of that, we’ll be thrilled with his selection at 62nd overall in the 2022 draft.

Two years ago, just before his first season in the league, EA Sports did the same simulation for Juraj Slafkovsky’s career. He was projected to finish with 1,286 points over 1,445 games.

The careers of Macklin Celebrini – Sharks (1,661 points), Matvei Michkov – Flyers (1,578 points), Will Smith – Sharks (1,364 points), Cutter Gauthier – Ducks (1,331 points), and Logan Stankoven – Stars (1,515 points) have also been simulated by the video game company.
