Killian Hayes has recently signed a one-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets, who are in rebuilding mode after trading Mikal Bridges this offseason. However, Hayes will have to face the challenge of competing for a spot in the team.
Hayes has been focusing on extreme agility training to ensure he’s in top form for the upcoming season. Recently, he was seen in intense workout sessions, aiming to make a strong comeback with Brooklyn.
Hayes understands that without being in peak shape, he might face difficulties similar to those he experienced with the Detroit Pistons. His rigorous training regimen has caught the attention of NBA fans.
Fans have been enthusiastic about Hayes’ dedication to his training. His intense workouts have led many to predict a breakout season for the Nets and their star.
Some fans are even so impressed with Hayes’ dedication that they consider him a stronger asset than Ben Simmons for the Nets.
Killian Hayes’ Journey with the Detroit Pistons
Killian Hayes began his NBA career with the Detroit Pistons. The team drafted him with the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Unfortunately, Hayes struggled to meet expectations during his four years with the Pistons while averaging just 8.1 points per game.
In his last season with Detroit, Hayes played 42 games for a team that ended the season with the worst record in the league at 14-68.
His performance last season saw him average 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 24 minutes per game. After the lackluster season, the Pistons wasted no time and waived him in February of this year. It marked the end of his stint in Michigan.
