Last season, there was serious buzz about the possibility of LeBron James’ trade from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Golden State Warriors. However, James’ agent, Rich Paul, quickly shut down the potential trade. Paul urged both teams to abandon the idea, hoping to protect James from the backlash that could arise from switching teams again.
Recently, LeBron’s teammate Anthony Davis weighed in on the trade rumors during an interview with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. While the trade talks were brief, they still felt unusual to Davis.
“I wasn’t on social media at the time. I heard about it, I can’t remember how I heard about it, but I don’t think it affected anybody. That was the first time ever he was in trade talks in his career. He’s seen everything, so I don’t think that affected our team,” Davis said.
“But that was definitely strange to hear. In a sense of like, it was the first time he’d ever been talked about in a trade before,” he added.
LeBron James Celebrates Bronny’s Men’s Health Cover
LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, continues to make waves as he was recently featured on the cover of Men’s Health. The magazine highlighted the young star in an exclusive interview, where Bronny opened up about his journey and his desire to play in the NBA.
“You’ve already heard a lot ABOUT @bronny in the run-up to his rookie season with the @lakers. But you haven’t actually heard FROM Bronny. That changes with this exclusive interview with @nifmuhammad at link in bio, in which he breaks down his desire to play in the NBA,” they wrote in the caption on Instagram.
LeBron always feels proud of Bronny James’ achievement. The proud father couldn’t help but to share it in his Instagram story.
The Lakers’ next game is against the Phoenix Suns, where LeBron and Bronny will again have the chance to play together on the court. JJ Redick’s team will again face the Golden State Warriors in their final preseason game on Tuesday.
