The Milwaukee Bucks started their season strong with a 114-109 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, but things have taken a difficult turn. Since that win, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team has suffered six consecutive losses, leaving them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 1-6 record, just behind the 1-5 76ers.

Amid this tough stretch, trade rumors about star player Giannis Antetokounmpo have started to pick up steam. According to CBS, before the Bucks’ latest loss, an Eastern Conference executive weighed in on the potential for Antetokounmpo’s future with the team.

“If you’re Milwaukee, you might just go, ‘I don’t give a f*ck what you want. If you want out, we’re getting the best deal we can.’ And Oklahoma City could definitely offer a good one,” the executive said.

Despite the team’s struggles, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. But the Bucks face mounting pressure to turn their season around before speculation about his future becomes even more intense.

NBA Insider Reveals Knicks’ Strategic Moves In Pursuit Of Giannis Antetokounmpo

As rumors spread, several teams are reportedly interested in pulling off a blockbuster deal for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Among these teams, the New York Knicks are considered one of the frontrunners.

NBA insider Marc Stein recently highlighted the Knicks’ ongoing interest in Antetokounmpo. According to Stein, the Knicks’ decision to bring in talent like Towns and give up assets, including Donte DiVincenzo, could be part of a larger plan to position themselves as top contenders if Antetokounmpo decides to leave Milwaukee.

“Rest assured that their respective interest has not dimmed. Then there is New York. I’ve heard more than one rival team since the trade, mind you, wonder aloud about whether having a player of Towns’ caliber on the roster for a potential future Antetokounmpo offer was among the Knicks’ motivations for giving in on their long-held reluctance to include Donte DiVincenzo,” Stein wrote.

Antetokounmpo signed a three-year, $186 million extension with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2023. But that hasn’t stopped trade speculation from building around the NBA star. What the future holds for the Bucks star will remain to be seen.
