Michael Jordan recently acquiring a $70 million worth private jet
While hardcore NBA fans knew Michael Jordan was heavily into cars, his recent move shocked everybody. The NBA legend acquired a Gulfstream G650ER private jet which is valued at $70 million. That is not all—it has a custom design on it, making it all the more luxurious and chic.
A recent video posted by Joe Pompliano on X displaying the exteriors of the aircraft went extremely viral. While the private het itself is reported to be worth $70 million, the custom paint on it added another $500,000. The private jet had a custom-made camouflaged pattern in black and grey tone, with the well-known Air Jordan logo plastered in red. The jet’s tail number, N236MJ, includes the basketball legend’s initials as well.
The video was filmed on the tarmac at Palm Beach International Airport. While the interior setting of the Michael Jordan owned vehicle is unknown, the G650ER comes with quite some features. It can sit up to 19 passengers, while up to 10 can sleep on board. Additionally, it also has space for its own bedroom. This particular model of the jet is known to be owned by many other celebrities, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg.
Michael Jordan became the first athlete to become a billionaire in 2014 and is estimated to be worth $3.5 billion a decade after. With a passion for automobiles, Jordan recently added another one to his collection. The NBA great got himself an exclusive, custom-built Battista Targamerica sports car. Reported to have spent $2.2 million on this one, he has also splurged cash on various cars in the past.
