Visibly, despite the recent storm, the Montreal Canadiens players continue to find new ways to surprise us positively.
We had a truly wonderful evening on Saturday at the Bell Centre, as the players responded to the recent adversity in the best way possible.
Clearly, Martin St-Louis still has his locker room under control.
In a solid 5-2 victory, Jake Evans, Kirby Dach, Joel Armia, Cole Caufield, and Alex Newhook found the back of the net.
It was a pivotal game for players like Dach, Armia, and Newhook, who may have finally jumpstarted their seasons and truly wowed the crowd. (especially Dach)
And what can we say about Jake Evans, who continues to prove he’s a solid third-line center for the Montreal Canadiens and one of the most underrated players in the NHL.
A magical celebration involving Juraj Slafkovsky, even without him
It’s worth mentioning that the Canadiens delivered this strong performance despite missing one of their key players, Juraj Slafkovsky, who is clearly highly valued in the locker room.
We were even treated to a sweet moment after the game, as the guys left a spot open for Slafkovsky during their celebration.
Check out the beautiful footage.
We love it!
Remember, they first pulled off that new celebration with Slafkovsky following their win against the Sens two weeks ago.
Let’s also recall that last night, Cole Caufield scored his seventh goal of the season. What an incredible start he’s having!
Martin St-Louis’ squad will be back in action tonight, facing Matvei Michkov and the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:00 PM.
Cayden Primeau will be in net for his team.
