On last night’s Strictly show the pair danced a quickstep to Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra but many said Wynne seemed blue himself

And this weekend eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot another dig at the Go Compare singer leaving many feeling upset on his behalf.

The pair stood apart from one another during the live show, while many commented on how Wynne didn’t seem his usual happy, smiley self.

Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to comment, with one saying: “Wynne is a shell of his former self” and another commenting: “Wynne and Katya looking awkward is comedy moment of the night.”

Another fan simply added: “Wynne and Katya. Oh dear.”

Things then took a turn for the worse when it was their turn to perform.

In their opening footage, Katya said Wynne needed to: “Take it to a whole new level,” with the Welsh singer admitting their quickstep felt like a “gym routine”.

When Katya added: “It’s not something he’s used to,” Wynne commented: “She is way more tired than I am.”

“What I was trying to say is, I need to build my stamina if I’m to carry him for this routine,” Katya said laughing.

The pair then danced a quickstep to Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.

Their routine finished with a blob of mayonnaise on Wynne’s head as Katya cleaned it off.

Judge Anton Du Beke commented: “It’s a lovely show when you dance”.

Motsi Mabuse called it “exquisite” before the pair gained 33 points for their efforts.

Wynne and Katya have been under intense scrutiny recently after two rather awkward moments.

The first was when Katya knocked his hand away when it moved along her waist.

Then the Russian dancer and choreographer was deemed to have left her pro partner hanging when he tried to high-five her following Sam Quek and Nikita Kumzin’s performance.

Taking to Strictly spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’ after last night’s dance Katya re-addressed the problems from the week before saying: “I have to make this absolutely clear that this whole incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night, it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. ”

“Was it a silly joke? Yes. Was it a bad joke? Yes.”

Fans of the hit show STRICTLY were outraged yet again after witnessing what appeared to be another subtle jab at Wynne Evans by his partner Katya Jones.

This latest incident only added fuel to the fire, intensifying the scrutiny surrounding the duo, whose dancing skills have taken a backseat to the controversy surrounding their alleged ‘grope scandal’.

Viewers were quick to notice a change in Wynne Evans’s demeanor during last night’s performance, with many noting that he seemed unusually subdued.

Despite dancing a lively quickstep to the upbeat tune of Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra, Wynne’s mood appeared to mirror the somber lyrics of the song, leaving fans concerned about his well-being.

The tension between Wynne and Katya was palpable throughout the performance, as they purposefully maintained a distance from each other on the dance floor.

While some viewers found humor in the awkward dynamic between the pair, others expressed disappointment at seeing Wynne out of his element and lacking his usual enthusiasm.

As the routine unfolded, it became apparent that Wynne was struggling to keep up with the demands of the dance. Katya’s comments about pushing him to a “whole new level” and comparing the routine to a “gym workout” only added to the pressure on Wynne, who jokingly remarked that Katya seemed more fatigued than he was.

Despite their efforts, the performance fell short of expectations, with Judge Anton Du Beke offering lukewarm praise and Motsi Mabuse commending them for their efforts. The duo scored 33 points, but the underlying tension between them was hard to ignore.

This latest incident comes on the heels of a series of awkward moments between Wynne and Katya, including a contentious interaction where Katya pushed away Wynne’s hand and a failed high-five attempt that left Wynne hanging. Katya addressed these incidents on a post-show segment, clarifying that they were meant to be lighthearted inside jokes that unfortunately missed the mark.

Despite the setbacks and controversies, the pair remains determined to push forward and improve their performances on the show.

Fans will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on Wynne and Katya as they navigate the challenges of the competition and strive to regain their momentum in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates and insights on this unfolding story.
