Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have failed to receive nominations in a key category ahead of the National Television Awards.
ITV’s This Morning has been nominated for a National Television Awards, however, presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard failed to be recognised as the main hosts.
The duo made their debut appearance together in March after replacing long-time stars Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, who quit their roles in 2023.
However, due to this shake-up, the newcomers struggled to maintain their predecessors’ nomination for Best Presenter.
The NTA’s which are hailed as “television’s biggest night of the year,” celebrates TV shows across the UK with results of votes from the general public.
Although Cat and Ben have heralded This Morning for five months, the pair have seemingly failed to impress fans, with ratings seemingly dropping off this summer.

Instead, the only host nominated from This Morning is Alison Hammond, who has taken on the role alongside Dermot O’Leary for the summer.
The pair impressed viewers with smart wit and funny jokes they shared with guests and contributors.
Although she has been a regular on ITV since 2002, the 49-year-old quickly became a fan favourite as ITV bosses decided who would permanently replace Holly and Phil.
The revolving door of presenters also included Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Rylan Clark, Emma Willis, Davina McCall, and Rochelle Humes.

Despite this, Alison does face stiff competition against Claudia Winkleman, Bradley Walsh and Stacey Solomon.
She will also head to head with Ant and Dec who have won the Best Presenter award consecutively for the past 22 years.
Although Cat and Ben weren’t recognised in the Best Presenter category, they could still take home an award for the best Daytime Programme.
However, they’re up against Loose Women, The Chase, Deal or No Deal and The Repair Shop.
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard may have missed out on a nomination in a key category for the National Television Awards, but they continue to bring energy and charm to the screen as hosts of This Morning.
Despite not being recognized as the main presenters, Cat and Ben have endeared themselves to viewers with their chemistry and hosting skills.
While Alison Hammond has been the sole nominee from This Morning in the Best Presenter category, Cat and Ben still have a chance to win an award for the best Daytime Programme.
Their competition includes popular shows like Loose Women, The Chase, Deal or No Deal, and The Repair Shop, but Cat and Ben’s dynamic partnership sets them apart.
As newcomers to the show, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have faced the challenge of following in the footsteps of long-time hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield.
Despite initial ratings struggles, Cat and Ben have shown resilience and dedication in their roles, earning praise for their engaging interviews and light-hearted banter with guests.
In the competitive landscape of daytime television, Cat and Ben have carved out a niche for themselves, bringing a fresh perspective to This Morning.
With the support of loyal viewers and their commitment to delivering quality content, Cat and Ben are poised to make their mark on the television industry.
