Lady Gaga’s fans loved how she comforted her “very private” fiancé, Michael Polansky, as the pair attended the Venice International Film Festival.
Mother Monster, 38, brought Polansky, 46, with her to the Floating City for the premiere of her new movie “Joker:
Folie à Deux” on Wednesday, September 4, and the pair faced an overwhelming number of fans and photographers as they walked the red carpet.
While that counts as a regular hump day for Gaga, it was no doubt a new experience for Polansky — something the “Stupid Love” singer seemed keenly aware of.
In one video posted and re-shared countless times on social media, Gaga checked in with her significant other, asking if he was “ok.”
“I love you. You ok? You’re doing great,” Gaga told Polansky on the red carpet while holding his hand and shooting him a look of love.
Fans couldn’t get enough.
“[T]his is about to make me cry actually,” said one little monster who posted the video.
“I’m crying so hard,” another commented. “Cried my eyes out,” said one Gaga lover.
“Omg why did I just get emotional!! He’s nervous,” someone else exclaimed.
Another video from a different moment at the festival showing the engaged pair smiling and embracing on a boat as photogs captured the moment also drew attention.
“I can’t with her trying to comfort her shy fiance,” one fan posted on X.
Gaga spoke about her relationship with Polansky in a new feature for Vogue, sharing how, despite their differences, they are “right for each other.”
“I had never met anyone like Michael,” the October cover star said. “He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and my life are very different.”
“He’s a very private guy and he’s not with me for any other reason than that we are right for each other,” Gaga explained.
“But I think what I want my fans to know is that I’m just, like, so happy. I’m healthy. I feel like the last time they heard from me—in this way—was ‘Chromatica,’ and that album was about an absolutely horrible time for me with my mental health.”
“I was in a really dark place,” the Oscar winner revealed. “I struggled for, like, many years before that. But everything started to change. Because I had a real friend who saw the ways in which I was unhappy and why. And he wasn’t afraid to truly hold my hand. And get to know me. On a very deep level.”
If social media reactions to the pair’s relationship are any indication, Gaga’s fans are thrilled that she and Polansky found each other.
“[T]hey’re too perfect,” one wrote on X. “[I] hope they’re forever,” said another.
“Michael we love you,” someone else posted.
Gaga also told Vogue that she was introduced to the businessman by her mother in 2019 after she met him at Napster founder and early Facebook investor Sean Parker’s birthday party. Polansky is the CEO of The Parker Group, which oversees Parker’s business and charitable interests.
The pair soon fell in love and quarantined together during the coronavirus pandemic.
Polansky popped the question in April, shortly after Gaga’s 38th birthday.
News of their engagement officially broke during this year’s Summer Olympics in Paris when a video surfaced of Gaga introducing Polansky as her fiancé to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
