Loose Women viewers were left reeling after Gloria Hunniford delivered a brutal four-word dig to her co-star Denise Welch, a day after her explosive clash with a guest over Meghan Markle
Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford caught viewers off guard with a sharp four-word jibe towards co-star Denise Welch following her clash with a show guest.
Monday’s episode was hosted by Coleen Nolan, who was joined by panelists Gloria, Denise, and Brenda Edwards.
However, they saw an unexpected bite from Gloria as Denise revealed her desire to leave the UK. As they chatted about how the Bank Holiday weather was affecting everyone’s moods, Gloria passionately declared her affection for the UK.
She stated: “I tell you what though… I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Simple as that. Because I could live in the sunshine.”
Denise countered with: “I would.” Suddenly, Gloria hit back with a pointed remark: “When are you going?,” leaving the audience visibly shocked and Denise momentarily tongue-tied, managing only laughter in reply to the playful dig.

Brenda joined in with a surprised: “Wow!” Viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the spicy dialogue, with one viewer remarking: “Gloria’s on fire today! ! #loosewomen.” Another added: “Oh wow, when said Gloria. When is Denise leaving?? #loosewomen.” Someone else perfectly captured the moment with one word: “Miaow!”.
Denise further explained: “There’s lots I love about this country but if I didn’t have my grandson now, I think I could leave.” Gloria, ever the optimistic one, reacted: “See now lots of reasons to stay,” and took a moment to reflect on the global situation. She said: “When you look at the world and other countries, you think, ‘This is not bad… the weather is.’”.
With a touch of resignation, Denise remarked: “Used to be – not now.” The show’s host, Coleen, tried to change the direction of the chat towards more positive areas, suggesting: “Anyway, onto to some feel good news please.” Earlier in the week, Denise shocked viewers as she ripped into a TV star live on the show.

The Loose Women panellist was seething on Monday when Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II and to King Charles III before he was crowned last year, was in the studio to speak about the monarch’s cancer battle.
Dickie decided to address the elephant in the room – can the monarch ever repair his strained relationship with his son, Prince Harry?
Denise insisted she thought Meghan and Harry’s decision to leave Windsor and Frogmore Cottage behind was nothing short of logical. “If I may say, do you not think there is a reason why Harry did such a thing?”, she asked. Denise then summarised the heartbreak surrounding King Charles III’s family, wounds first stemming from the monarch’s marriage with Lady Diana “when he was in love with Camilla.”
“It ruined a lot of Diana’s life”, Denise claimed. The former Coronation Street star then recalled how Harry walked publicly behind his mother’s coffin and accepted Queen Camilla as his stepmother.
“Then he has a wife who is completely and continually trashed by the media, including your good self”, Denise added while turning to Dickie.
“I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets (…) we continually berate this woman every day.” Denise furiously doubled down: “Why would they not walk out? Why would they want to spend their life in a country that hated them?”
