Coleen Rooney has opened up about her unexpected experience in the *I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!* 

jungle, sharing the one thing she wasn’t prepared for during her time in the Australian outback.

The Scouse TV personality, who finished in second place on the show behind McFly’s Danny Jones,

captured the nation’s heart with her grounded and resilient approach, but even she was caught off guard by certain aspects of jungle life.

At the launch of her new health and wellbeing collection with Applied Nutrition, Coleen took the time to reflect on her time in camp and the challenges that came with it.

Despite knowing about the basic conditions—such as the lack of extra food and luxuries—Coleen revealed one particular reality that surprised her.

“I had met with the producers and I also knew people who’d previously done the show, so I knew [before I signed up] that you couldn’t take things in etc.,” Coleen explained in an interview with the *Mirror*. “But the one thing that shocked me was just how real it actually was.

I obviously knew you weren’t gonna get extra food and stuff, but when we first came in and we couldn’t light the fire, I thought maybe someone might come in.

You do not see other people unless you go out to do a trial—that’s the first time you come into contact with anyone.”

This stark reality of the *I’m a Celebrity* experience left the 46-year-old star with a sense of isolation, as she quickly realized just how disconnected she was from the outside world.

Despite this, Coleen displayed her trademark resilience, taking on each challenge that came her way with enthusiasm.

It’s no surprise that she soon found herself volunteering for a Bushtucker Trial. “You get bored in there as well, so you want to go out and you want to see other people and do a trial for something to do,” she shared, explaining how the lack of interaction with others led to a yearning for something to break up the monotony.

While fans marveled at Coleen’s down-to-earth nature and can-do attitude throughout her time in the jungle, they were also impressed by how radiant her skin appeared despite the harsh conditions.

While she relied on nothing but stream water for skincare and went makeup-free during her time on the show, her glowing complexion left viewers wondering if it had anything to do with her routine with Applied Nutrition.
