Is Travis Kelce back?

Will Justin Herbert Be Ready to Play in Week 4 vs. the Chiefs?close

It took four weeks, but Travis Kelce finally looked like his old self.

Travis Kelce caught seven of his nine targets for 89 yards in a 17-10 win over the Chargers in Week 4, per his stats on ESPN.

This was easily his best game of the year, as he had eight total catches coming into this game for 69 yards receiving.

Following the game’s broadcast, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo boldly declared that Travis Kelce was back to being his old self after his huge game.

“Kelce is back,” Romo said.

“All the hot takes, you gotta find someone else to troll this week,” Nantz replied.

“He’s not going away anytime soon,” Romo added.

It seems that the Kansas City Chiefs had decided to feature star wideout Rashee Rice in the offense this year, which led to fewer targets for Kelce.

In the game against the Chargers, Rice would take a nasty and unintentional hit from Patrick Mahomes after an interception and had to be carted off the field.

The team now fears he has suffered a torn ACL.

Travis Kelce finished as the team’s top receiver after Rashee Rice suffered his leg injury.

Kelce has cemented himself as one of the team’s most clutch players as well as the Chiefs franchise’s all-time leading receiver.

He will now be called on to do what he has done for the entirety of his career.

Time For Travis Kelce To Step Up

Whatever the issue was for Kelce at the beginning of the season seems to have corrected itself in Week Four.

The standout tight end had 89 yards in a 17-10 win over the Chargers in Week 4.

Now that Rashee Rice might be done for the season, the team will look to its veteran to lead it for the remainder of the year.
