Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders didn’t hold back on Shedeur Sanders after his son and quarterback put in an effort that apparently wasn’t up to standard in practice this week.

The Buffs are coming off a big win over UCF, having emerged victoriously from four of their first five games. But it hardly means that they can relax, not even in practice.

Coach Prime, who is known to hate complacency, did not go easy on his son after a recent training session. Shedeur is rated as one of the best quarterbacks in college and continues to back up the hype with exceptional performances, yet it didn’t save him from his father’s wrath.

The video below shows the former NFL cornerback tearing into his son with a demand for improvement.

“Shedeur that was horrible from you today….You got to come with a better effort and more focus,” he’s heard saying.

Deion Sanders Draws Praise From Fans Online

Fans loved seeing Deion Sanders put his son on the spot and not giving him preferential treatment.

“That’s how you set the tone with the rest of ya team,” a user declared. “Always expect more from your starts/superstars.”

“OK, I like this. I like what I’m seeing  I like the discipline I think that’s important,” another added.

“But I thought coach prime play daddy ball🤦🏾‍♂️,” someone else wrote.

“Coach Prime is REAL,” said another.

“This is the first time ive seen Coach Prime hold Shedeur accountable,” another fan commented. “This is a big deal for a football team, trust me. He gains credibility as a Coach by doing this publicly, I love it.”

However, there were some folks who reckon this was all for show.

“Sorry all you Deon fan this looks staged. Deon and CU football are nothing more than a reality show.  It’s all geared toward getting Travis and Shedeur drafted,” one fan claimed.

Another wrote: “Hold on, film me getting onto my son and post it. So it looks like I’m just a coach”

Meanwhile, the Buffs are preparing for a home fixture against Kansas State set for this Saturday, when they will hope to surpass last season’s 4-8 record with a fifth win.
