An NCAA referee’s classy actions during Saturday’s Celebration Bowl between Jackson State and SC State are going viral online.
The referee made an unnecessary roughness call during the first quarter of the game but took some time to pay tribute to United States military veterans with a clean salute before announcing the penalty.

Fans on social media thought the ref’s patriotic act was wholesome.
“Proper country referee,” one wrote in the comments.
