VIDEO: Amen Thompson Viciously Body Slammed Tyler Herro Onto The Court During Massive Brawl Between The Rockets & Heat
Amen Thompson and Tyler Herro were both ejected on Sunday evening in Houston.
Tempers flared late in the matchup between the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat as four players were ejected following an altercation that occurred with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.
With the game all but decided, a skirmish broke out between the two teams after Rockets forward Amen Thompson and Tyler Herro got entangled with each other.
Thompson escalated things by tossing Tyler Herro to the ground while the two battled for position ahead of an inbounds pass.
Heat players then swarmed Thompson, while his own teammates got in the mix as well.
Once everything was settled, four players (and two coaches) were ejected, including Herro and Terry Rozier from the Heat and Thompson and Jalen Green from the Rockets.
There was another ejection before the skirmish as Fred VanVleet was ejected from the game after inadvertently bumping an official.
Thompson’s night ended with five points, five rebounds, five assists, and one steal over 32 minutes.
Amen Thompson Is Likely To Be Suspended For A Few Games
Amen was ejected late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Thompson got into an altercation with Tyler Herro, using all of his strength to throw the latter to the ground.
Both were ejected shortly after, as were Terry Rozier and Jalen Green.
Because he caused things to escalate, Thompson is likely to be heard from the league and suspended several games for his actions.
