VIDEO: Social Media Is Convinced Penn State-Ohio State Game Is Rigged After Very Sketchy Call From The Refs
On Saturday, Penn State and Ohio State will face off in one of the most highly anticipated games of the college football season. Ohio is the No. 4 team in the country, and Penn State is No. 3.
Of course, with such a high-ranked matchup, there are a lot of eyes on the game, which means there is very little room for mistakes from the referees.
At the start of the second quarter, Penn State cornerback Elliot Washington received a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty for stepping over and taunting an Ohio receiver after making a tackle.
Since Ohio State would later score a touchdown on the same drive, many on social media say the game is rigged and the penalty was not warranted.
As of halftime, Ohio State is leading 14-10 and will get the ball to start the second half.
What has been chilling at Penn State is the poor offensive performance at home. Quarterback Drew Allar has completed 6 of 13 passes for 62 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception as of halftime
If the Nittany Lions want a fighting chance in the game, the offense must step up and show they can drive down the field.
Penn State vs. Ohio State Could Help Decide The BIG 10 Winner
These two teams are not only some of the best in the country but also some of the top leaders in the BIG 10 conference.
Going into the game, Penn State is third in the conference, and Ohio State is fourth. They both sit behind Oregon and Indiana, which are both 8-0 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.
Of course, winning the BIG 10 is a huge deal, considering the champion has an automatic bid to the College Football Playoffs.
