After Kyle Richards admitted on ‘RHOBH’ that it was “a torture conversation” to have, Sutton Stracke simply said, “I’m trying to give you tough love. I was just wanting you to be smart”

Sutton Stracke is giving Kyle Richards some “tough love.”
On the Nov. 26 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton, 53, urged Kyle, 55, to file for divorce from her husband, Mauricio Umansky, in order to protect herself financially.
After Kyle updated her on her current relationship with The Agency founder, Sutton admitted she wasn’t convinced that things wouldn’t turn nasty once the matter of money got involved.
“I just think when it comes to money, people can be different,” Sutton said, to which Kyle replied, “Well, listen, I trust in that sense, because everything we have is 50/50 and yes, of course, The Agency is also mine.”

When Sutton let out a quiet laugh, Kyle doubled down on her statement and recalled various interviews where Mauricio stated that he wouldn’t have been successful if it hadn’t been for Kyle’s support. She also claimed that he wrote about her involvement in his book, The Dealmaker.
“I don’t see the book being used as evidence in divorce court,” Sutton told cameras. “Those forensic people are gonna come in there and burn that book. The lesson is very clear coming out of my marriage, men do not like parting with their money.”
In a hushed voice, Sutton told Kyle, “I’m gonna be real honest with you. I think that you need to file.” When the Halloween Ends actress asked why, she replied, “If you go on to do something from the date of filing, that’s yours.”
According to Kyle, Sutton’s piece of advice wasn’t new. In her own conversation with cameras, the mom of four revealed that “everybody’s telling me, ‘You need to draw a line in the sand. You need to file for divorce.'”

“That’s the stuff I really don’t understand. Eventually, you know, we’ll figure it out,” she added.
Sutton, on the other hand, disagreed with her nonchalance, telling cameras, “Kyle needs to get a grip and go talk to an attorney. Quickly! Run, don’t walk.”
After Kyle admitted that this was “a torture conversation,” Sutton added, “I’m trying to give you tough love. I was just wanting you to be smart,” before moving on.
In July 2023, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE that Kyle and Mauricio had separated. Though the couple still lived together in the midst of their split, Mauricio has since moved out to a place in West Hollywood, which Kyle confirmed while appearing on a May 14 episode of the Bitch Bible podcast.

One year after their separation, a source told PEOPLE that the pair are currently “working on how to establish their individual lives while remaining connected as a family.”
The insider continued, “After being in a routine for decades, they have had a lot to figure out while navigating their new normal. Going through a separation has been challenging enough that no one is rushing to get a divorce.”
Since then, the Buying Beverly Hills star has seemingly stepped back into the dating pool. In July, Mauricio was spotted passionately kissing a mystery woman at the airport in Mykonos, Greece. The photo came after a source told PEOPLE the realtor was “getting to know” influencer Alexandria Wolfe.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, and previous episodes can be streamed on Peacock.
