“I don’t have a man” – Sparks’ Rickea Jackson shuts down fan’s doubt about her relationship status in TikTok video
LA Sparks rookie Rickea Jackson had a clear response to fans speculating about her love life. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft cleared the air on a TikTok Live session after several fans apparently alleged that she was dating somebody.
Jackson made it clear that she was single and promised fans that when she found somebody, her fans would be the first to know.
“I’m telling y’all, Rickea is single. Listen to me, why would I lie? If I’m in a relationship, y’all would know. I’mma tell y’all. That’s one thing about me. When I got a man, I would be like, ‘That’s my man.’ When I don’t have a man, I’m gonna say, ‘I don’t have a man.'”

“I have friends. Just because y’all don’t know how to have guy friends, don’t mean I don’t. Y’all need to lock in. Y’all need to be more like me. Stop playing with me,” she said.
Coming out of Tennessee, Jackson joined the Sparks this season, keen to make an impact and help fellow rookie Cameron Brink and Co. become competitive again. They showed glimpses of their potential, but Brink going down with an ACL injury ruined their chances. Still, Jackson managed to leave a mark and form a good duo with Dearica Hamby.
In 40 games played, she averaged 13.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 45.6% from the field, 34.7% from deep and 80.7% from the free-throw line. In a world without Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, Jackson would have had a solid chance to win the 2024 Rookie of the Year award.
The season was full of emotions for her, as she even squared up to throw down with Phoenix Mercury veteran Brittney Griner a couple of weeks ago.
Rickea Jackson responds to ‘tampering’ allegations regarding Paige Bueckers
The Brittney Griner altercation wasn’t the only controversy that Rickea Jackson starred in this season. The young guard was spotted interacting with UConn prospect Paige Bueckers and was accused of tampering.
Jackson quickly denied that notion, saying she was just quoting some lyrics.
“I literally was. Like what??? ‘LALALALA wait til I get my money righttttt’. Can’t even comment lyrics on people stuff no mo. Smh.”
Paige Bueckers is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft and the Sparks had the worst record this season. As such, there’s a big chance Rickea Jackson ends up landing in Los Angeles next year.
