Satou Sabally drops 4 words to Nika Muhl edging out Cameron Brink for GQ’s most stylish WNBA player
Satou Sabally reacted after Nika Muhl received a major honor off the field from one of the biggest publications in the world. The Seattle Storm point guard was voted by fans as GQ’s Most Stylish WNBA Player of the 2024 season.
The competition featured some high-profile names as contestants. This included A’ja Wilson, Monique Billings, Arike Oringuwale, Angel Reese, DiJonai Carrington, Kysre Gondrezick and Caitlin Clark, among others.
Muhl beat opponents round after round until the final one where she got the edge over LA Sparks star Cameron Brink.

Plenty of fans celebrated this victory and one of Muhl’s colleagues took to Instagram to leave a four-word message underneath the post. Satou Sabally, who earned this honor in 2023, reacted by saying she’s passing the torch to Muhl.
“🔥lemme pass that torch @nika.muhl,” she commented.

This competition started five days ago on GQ Sports’ official Instagram stories. Muhl beat Erica Wheeler in the first round, then took out Isabelle Harrison in the second round before eliminating Kelsey Plum in the quarterfinals.
Gabby Williams was her opponent in the semifinal and Brink was the final boss standing between Muhl and this title.
Nika Muhl didn’t have the best rookie season with the Seattle Storm, as she struggled to get playing time and was often used during garbage time. She traveled overseas to get some action and ended up suffering a season-ending injury that will keep her sidelined for a while.
As for Satou Sabally, she also endured a long-term recovery injury last season, but returned as strong as ever to the court and now could switch teams and form a terrific Big Three in the Eastern Conference.
Satou Sabally linked with a move to Indiana Fever in WNBA free agency
Satou Sabally has been very active on social media this week. Besides hyping up Nika Muhl’s win as the Most Stylish WNBA Player of the season, she talked with several fans on a TikTok Live session.
Sabally liked several messages from Indiana Fever fans trying to recruit her to create a Big Three alongside Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston.
She confirmed she’s set to test the waters of free agency and the Fever appears to be an appealing destination for the forward.
After missing the first part of the 2024 WNBA season, she played 15 games, averaging 17.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game with the Dallas Wings. With the firing of Latricia Trammell, perhaps Sabally’s future is away from Dallas and Indiana would welcome her with open arms.
