Metallica is doing their part to help victims of hurricane Helene with a $100,000 donation via their All Within My Hands (AWMH) foundation.

The donation is split into two $50,000 amounts going to Team Rubicon and World Central Kitchen teams. Team Rubicon performs extreme clean-up of all debris and destruction left from the hurricane and allows other relief effort organizations to safely access those in need. World Central Kitchen is providing clean water and food to those impacted individuals who do not have access to it.

“Over the past week, Hurricane Helene has left a 500-mile path of destruction throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee in its wake,” the group said in a statement posted to X. “It is an unmitigated tragedy, with over 215 lives lost and hundreds of people still unaccounted for. Historic water levels and widespread flooding across the Appalachians have left hundreds of roads inaccessible, hindering rescue efforts.”

Metallica concluded, “Our AWMH Foundation is donating $50,000 each to World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon to aid in first-response efforts.” See their full statement below.
