Lamar Jackson Says He’s Going to Go Watch Beyoncé During Halftime of Their Christmas Game: ‘Sorry Harbaugh’

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has one goal for his team’s Christmas Day game: To see Beyoncé’s halftime performance.
The 43-year-old Cowboy Carter Grammy nominee will take the stage during halftime of the Ravens’ road game vs. the Houston Texans on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Jackson, 27, said he’s already making the performance a priority — despite playing in the game.
On Dec. 23, reporters asked the Ravens quarterback about the upcoming performance and he said, “I’m going to go out there and watch.”
Barring any logistical issues with his head coach, Jackson said Beyoncé’s “dope” Christmas Day halftime show will be his first chance of seeing the music icon perform live — and he’s not letting the opportunity slip away, even if the scoreboard isn’t favoring the Ravens.

“I’m not even thinking about the lead. I’m just thinking about seeing Beyoncé for the first time,” Jackson joked with reporters.
“I’m going to go out and watch,” he said.
“Sorry Harbaugh, sorry,” Jackson continued, referring to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, before adding a quick apology to his teammates — the “fellas.”
Jackson — a generous teammate who gifted the entire Ravens offensive line Rolex watches in 2019 — made sure to clarify that he meant no disrespect to the Ravens fans by prioritizing Queen Bey over the game.
“Not saying it like that, no disrespect,” he said, adding, “I know how people can take things.”

The Ravens-Texans Christmas Day game starts at 4:30 p.m. ET and will stream on Netflix from the Texans’ NRG Stadium in Houston.
Just before that, Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers will kick off Netflix’s NFL slate on Christmas Day at 1 p.m. ET.
