Musical artist Rod Wave released a new album called “Last Lap” and Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese is enjoying his music. In fact, Angel revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that she thought one of the tracks in Wave’s latest album was written specifically for her.

The track that Reese was referring to is called “Angel With an Attitude.” This is the seventh track on Wave’s latest project. In the song, he is singing to a lover and mentions the phrase “angel with an attitude” once. Specifically, he says that he met an angel with an attitude but she still isn’t half of what his lover is.

Reese lauded this track and the whole album on social media as she replied to the CEO of a clothing brand on X.

“Girl i thought he wrote this for me. The album is soo good!!” Reese tweeted.

Perhaps Angel Reese is simply enjoying Rod Wave’s new music and was being hyperbolic in saying that she thinks “Angel With an Attitude” is about her.

Even if this song isn’t actually about her, Reese has been name-dropped and has even featured in other tracks before.

Angel Reese has been name-dropped on a Lil Durk track

Rapper and Chicago native Lil Durk is a huge Chicago Sky supporter and also seems to be a fan of Angel Reese. In his track “Conspiracy V2” with YTB Fatt, Durk even name-dropped Reese.

While the song isn’t specifically about the Sky or Reese, her fantastic performance in her rookie season still earned her a shoutout. Reese’s name came up in the third and final verse of the song. In it, Durk says this:

“Courtside at the Sky game, 100 on me, tellin’ Angel Reese to shoot.”

Lil Durk has also met Angel Reese in person. Aside from sitting courtside during Sky games, he also got the chance to meet the team personally in their locker room.

Durk was allowed to congratulate the team on a huge win on Jun. 23, 2024, when the Sky took on Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

The Fever held an eight-point advantage (72-64) against the Sky entering the fourth quarter of that game. However, in the game’s final frame, the Sky outscored the Fever 24-15 to come out with a narrow victory. The game’s final score was 88-87.

Following the hard-earned win, Lil Durk entered the Sky’s locker room to congratulate the players.

Reese led all players in both points and rebounds in that game, dropping a 25-point, 16-rebound double-double. This performance also marked the eighth straight double-double for Reese in her impressive 15-game run where she logged double-figure points and rebounds in the same game.
