Two AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, are down in South Florida playing for the right to remain undefeated. Things quickly changed, as the only thing anybody cared about was Tua Tagovailoa’s health.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback appeared to suffer a head injury during the game against the Buffalo Bills and was taken to the locker room.

Tagovailoa suffered the injury on a fourth-down scramble up the middle as he leaned headfirst into a tackle made by Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

He got the worst of it as he was unable to get back on his feet.

Many fans couldn’t believe they were witnessing yet another head injury from Tua.

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant took to X and stated that Tua needs to retire.

Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe echoed those same sentiments.

Tagovailoa, who signed a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension in July, didn’t miss a start last year.

It goes without saying that Tua Tagovailoa was not going to come back into this game.

Skylar Thompson entered the game in his place.

Tagovailoa was 17-of-25 for 145 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions before his exit.

Injuries Remain An Issue For Tua Tagovailoa

Tagovailoa did not miss a game in 2023, but he had a series of concussions in 2022 that had him consider retirement.

Tagovailoa was attempting to get a first down in Thursday Night Football when he ducked his head as he approached Damar Hamlin and ran into the defender’s midsection.

Now, he has yet another head injury that will likely keep him out for a game or two.
