Lions HC Dan Campbell Forced To Sell His Home In Detroit For Startling Reason

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell has been forced to sell his home in Oakland County due to security reasons.

Campbell has overseen a resurgence in the Motor City, with the Lions regaining prominence under his tutelage and going as far as the NCF Championship game last season. Still, he hasn’t been afforded the privacy he wants and had cause to leave his home and put it up for sale.

The coach was recently interviewed by Crain’s Detroit Business and disclosed that he and his wife are relocating because of concerns prompted by their address getting leaked after a Lions loss.

Campbell seemed regretful as he admitted that he was in a great neighborhood and owned a beautiful property that became untenable once folks discovered he lived there.

“The neighborhood, everything (is positive),” he said. “There’s plenty of space, it’s on 2 acres, the home is beautiful. It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost.

Dan Campbell Can Hardly Do Any Wrong In Detroit

Campbell is royalty in Detroit after fostering a Lions turnaround. Prior to last season, the team had only reached the NFC Championship Game once and was just one-half of a football game away from a Super Bowl appearance.

While there isn’t any known threat against Campbell, it’s better to exercise caution if his address has become general knowledge. It’s either leave or retain a top security team.

According to LionsWire, the home has been put up for $4.5 million, so Campbell and his family should come into a nice sum soon enough.
