One of Chennedy Carter’s biggest strenghts as well as one of her biggest flaws is her ability to play with raw emotion. The Chicago Sky star had a breakout season in the WNBA in 2024 and will look to build on that in the coming season.
Carter is currently playing overseas in China, something that’s common among WNBA players looking for greater earning opportunities during the league’s offseason. As part of her contract, Carter receives 10,000 yuan, roughly $1,380, for emotional growth as well as sportsmanship.

Fans in the comments of the post humorously reacted to the clip that displayed Carter’s on-court frustration.
“She such a little menace to society,” one fan jokingly commented.

Carter’s play on the court has also had people talking. Numerous reports have indicated the 2020 All-Rookie team member is taking over the Chinese professional league with her star-caliber play.
The 26-year-old is coming off her best WNBA season to date, averaging career highs in points, rebounds, steals and field goal percentage. In 33 games for the Sky last season, Carter averaged 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game on 48.7% shooting.
Chennedy Carter scores 40 in Chinese league
Chennedy Carter is lighting it up in the Women’s Chinese Basektball League. Carter leads the WCBL in scoring and is second in the league in assists. Carter is coming off one of the greatest personal performances of her entire basketball career.
Carter’s Wuhan Shengfan team matched up versus Liaoning earlier this week. The WNBA star shined on the court, scoring 42 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and laying out six assists.
This was the second of back-to-back 40-point performance from the rising star. In her prior game, Carter scored 42 points and posted another strong effort, grabbing eight rebounds, assisting on seven baskets and plucking four steals.
Chennedy Carter’s developing ability to score the ball is translating well for the 2020 All-Rookie member’s first team of the season. So far this season, she averages an eye-popping 28.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
