Caitlin Clark has become a household name not only in the WNBA but the entire world of basketball. The Indiana Fever star made a terrific impression during her rookie season and now, her male colleagues are showing their respect.

One of those was Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain, who arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse repping a hoodie with Clark’s image on it.

“when in @CaitlinClark22’s city we show respect,” the 76ers posted on Sunday with four photos of McCain wearing a black hoodie with several images of Clark during her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The 76ers are yet to win a game this season in two attempts and the Pacers are 1-1 in the same number of games. This is a good opportunity for both teams to improve their records, especially after big losses to the Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks, respectively.

Jared McCain saw action in both games, clocking in four minutes in each contest, and scoring four points in the season opener. Despite being a solid player at Duke, McCain is the fourth guard in Nick Nurse’s pecking order, behind Tyrese Maxey, Kyle Lowry and Reggie Jackson.

Perhaps wearing a Caitlin Clark hoodie can give him new opportunities, even if it’s in garbage time in a blowout. Meanwhile, the Indiana Fever player is back at a special place and enjoying herself with her loved ones.

Caitlin Clark returned to Iowa this week

Besides honing her golf skills with former LPGA player Martha Foyer-Faulconer, Caitlin Clark paid a special visit to her former college, Iowa. She was there to receive an honor alongside some of her former teammates.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft was celebrated during a timeout in the Iowa Hawkeyes football team’s Saturday’s game against Northwestern. Clark, alongside Kate Martin, Gabbie Marshall and others were the subject of a homage at the Week 9 college football game.

Fans cheered for them as they made it to the field and Clark was even interviewed, sharing details of her first year as a pro. As part of the interview, she was asked about the experience of facing former teammate Kate Martin in the WNBA.

“Well, minus the four times I lost to Kate, pretty good,” she said. “But it was fun … getting to see Kate do it as well, after being pretty under the radar, is fun with one of my best friends.”

Caitlin Clark has had a busy offseason and she’s not stopping anytime soon. Besides attending a golf pro-am tournament, she’s been linked with participation in the upcoming 3×3 Unrivaled League.
