Angel Reese reveals receiving ‘death threats’ & explicit photos from Caitlin Clark’s fanbase: “It’s disrespectful”
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has seen her name linked with Caitlin Clark ever since they both were in college, defending LSU and Iowa, respectively. They even clashed in the women’s NCAA Tournament final in 2023, and once they made it to the WNBA, the situation hasn’t changed.
Reese explained that she’s been going at it with Clark since they both were in high school, but their trash talk only happens during games.
“They root for her and I respect that, but sometimes it’s very disrespectful. I think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it and I don’t believe she stands on any of that. But, when it’s behind your name, that’s when a lot of people are like, ‘I don’t like her cause her fans are saying this and this’.”

She added:
“I don’t believe in her heart that she has hatred towards me and I’m sure she believes that I don’t have hatred towards her, but I think her fanbase has gone — I literally saw something today that was like… Basketball is literally a game, we have so much fun with it, but when it comes to, but when it comes to death threats — I’m talking about people coming to my address, follow me home, it’s come down to that. On multiple occasions, people have made AI pictures of me, like, naked, literally. They have sent it to my family members. It sucks to see that,” Reese explained.
Just like Caitlin Clark teased opponents during the 2023 college tournament, Angel Reese did the same to her when LSU beat them to win the national championship. Other than that, the rookies have shown their competitiveness in a respectful way while trying to lead their respective squads.

They showed chemistry the one time they played together this season. This chemistry could lead the USA Basketball women’s team to the top spot in the Olympics in four years.
Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are competing for the Rookie of the Year award, which can predict that these two will be in conversations for awards for many years.
