Mina Kimes dimed on a gay friend’s fantasy football selection methods via social media this week, and it’s apparently the kind of content the internet loves.

Avoid This Fantasy Lineup Mistake!!!close

The ESPN host took to X/Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to reveal that her friend picks his players based on their looks and was actually disappointed to get Patrick Mahomes, as he really wanted Jimmy Garoppolo instead.

Of course, Jimmy G is considered to be one of the best-looking men in sports, but he’s not going to win you many fantasy football points. He’s not even a starter, plus he’s suspended for the first two games of the upcoming season.

“I have a gay friend who drafts every year entirely based on looks,” Kimes wrote. “He just texted me “Wanted Jimmy G but ended up with Mahomes” which has to be the first time in the history of the world that sentence has been uttered in a fantasy football context. Dying at his rankings.”

Jalen Hurts is right behind Garoppolo on the list in question, with Joe Burrow third. Mahomes is one spot lower.

Saquon Barkley was also oddly placed as he was in the wide receiver category and thought to be the second-best looking pass-catcher in the NFL, behind D.J. Moore.

Fans Had All Sorts Of Reactions To Kimes’ Friend’s Fantasy Football Rankings

As you would imagine, the tweet went viral and attracted all sorts of reactions.

“I am really trying to understand his type,” one fan mused.

“i am MYSTIFIED by his QB rankings,” another wrote.

“Trevor Lawrence ranked much lower than I might have expected,” a third joked.

“Believe it or not, this how some heterosexual men make their bets,” said a fourth.

“Diggs is a literal model, so that makes sense. Hurts for the tush push makes sense 😅,” someone quipped.

“This approach probably beats any research based method. The only thing stopping it is Peyton Manning’s forehead but he’s out of that shadow. Would’ve had TB in his prime too,” someone else pointed out.

“Saquon my favorite wide receiver too,” a sarcastic comment read.

Fortunately for the friend in question, the best players in the NFL happen to be good-looking. He’s also lucky Jimmy G is set to serve a suspension
