Wild Conspiracy Theory Emerges Explaining Why Derek Carr Is Having A Career Year, And It’s So Crazy It May Actually Be Legit

New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is off to a jaw-dropping start, leading the team to a league-leading 91 points scored through their first two weeks.
One week after dominating the Carolina Panthers 47-10 at the Caesars Superdome, Derek Carr and the Saints came into Dallas and crushed the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium by a final score of 44-19.
With the victory, the Saints also snapped Dallas’ streak of 16 consecutive regular-season home wins. Through his first two games, Carr has completed 76.9 percent of pass attempts for 443 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.
Popular TikTok user Finesse Wes compiled a fascinating video and detailed a fascinating coincidence regarding Derek Carr’s best seasons. Finesse Wes realized that Carr plays his best football in U.S. presidential election years.
In 2016, Carr had an MVP-caliber year and completed 63.8 percent of pass attempts for 3,937 yards, 28 touchdowns and a career-low six interceptions. That year, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton and succeeded Barack Obama in office.
Four years later, Derek Carr completed 67.3 percent of pass attempts for 4,103 (then a career-best), 27 touchdowns, nine interceptions and a career-best 101.4 quarterback rating. Joe Biden defeated Trump in that year’s election to secure the presidency.
Sure enough, the 33-year-old Carr is off to a ridiculous start with the 2024 election less than two months away:
So, is it merely a coincidence that Derek Carr played his best football in the U.S. presidential election years? Or is there something about the political season that motivates Carr to take his game to another level? You be the judge.
Either way, Saints fans aren’t complaining after their team was held back by lackluster quarterback play in the last three years:
Derek Carr & Saints Look Like Legitimate Super Bowl Contenders
With an elite defense and three dynamic offensive playmakers in Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, the Saints don’t need Carr to play like an MVP to win. They just need above-average quarterback, and Carr has provided more than plenty in the early going.
Carr isn’t going to sustain this ridiculous pace, but if he can maintain consistency and mistake-free football, New Orleans will re-emerge as a championship contender for the first time in the post-Drew Brees era
