Tyreek Hill is known for his flashy moves and his incredible speed which makes him one of the most exciting players to watch every weekend during the NFL season.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver loves to have fun on and off the field and when it comes to touchdown celebrations, he’s at the top of his game… but sometimes things go wrong.
That’s just what happened this Sunday when the Dolphins faced the Los Angeles Rams in an electrifying game at Sofi Stadium that Miami won 23-15.
To celebrate a touchdown, Hill and the rest of the offensive unit did a wild celebration that mimic wrestling moves. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. played along with Hill and at some point jump mid air and clotheslined his teammate, which made Tyreek fall hard on his back and part of his neck.
The flashy player was able to get up but he was visibly shaken and had a hard time keeping his balance, although he did finished the celebration.
Tyreek Hill tells reporter he got injured during the celebration
Tyreek Hill told reporters after the game that the fall hurt his upper back region and he thinks that he’s gonna miss some practice this week.
“Felt good until Odell slammed my back out. That kind of hurt me, so I’ll probably miss Wednesday’s practice with that one.” said the former Kansas City Chiefs superstar.
The Dolphins play the Las Vegas Raiders at home this Sunday and Miami must definitely needs Hill’s speed and ability to turn around games in order to keep their playoffs hopes alive. Currently they are second place on the AFC West Conference, way behind first place Buffalo Bills.
Emotional win for the Dolphins
Midway through a season of heartbreaking losses, major injuries and maddeningly inconsistent play, the Miami Dolphins mostly put it all together on Monday night.
While their preseason Super Bowl aspirations are still in grave danger of slipping away, the Dolphins’ gritty 23-15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams demonstrated to Miami’s key players that they still might have a shot to make something out of this very trying year.
Tyreek Hill caught a short touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa in the third quarter to end the longest scoring drought of his career, and the Dolphins (3-6) kept Los Angeles out of the end zone while snapping their three-game losing streak with just their second victory in eight games.
Tagovailoa passed for only 207 yards, but he made a series of big throws while the Dolphins converted six third downs, most of them at key moments. Tagovailoa was 9 of 12 for 137 yards on third downs alone.
