Fans All Had the Same Reaction to Xavier Worthy’s First TD for the Chiefs
NFL fans can’t believe the league let the Chiefs get Xavier Worthy.
The Kansas City Chiefs kick off the 2024 season against the Baltimore Ravens and they’re already turning heads. On their first drive of the game, rookie receiver Xavier Worthy flashed his speed to score his first career touchdown in the NFL.
He looked incredibly fast on the play, torching the Ravens’ defense on a unique play. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes faked a handoff to Isiah Pacheco then flipped it back to Worthy on a reversal. The rookie receiver quickly turned the corner to score a 21-yard rushing touchdown.
Worthy made the touchdown look easy as nearly the entire offensive line blocked off the Ravens. He made a nice cut up the middle of the field and it was a foot race from there.
The Chiefs offense was rolling on that drive as they made it look easy against a tough Ravens defense. Worthy’s athleticism sparked many reactions on social media, as many fans simply can’t believe Kansas City was able to acquire him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Considering head coach Andy Reid is one of, if not, the best play caller in the league right now, it’s unfathomable that he got one of the most electric weapons at wide receiver to pair up with Mahomes.

With Worthy coming out of the University of Texas, of course coveted actor, Matthew McConaughey said, “X with the giddy up for 6.”
“That boy rolling omg,” is what former Chiefs star and current Miami Dolphins wide receiver, Tyreek Hill stated.
Former Houston Texans star, JJ Watt, couldn’t believe his eyes, saying, “Xavier Worthy fast as s***. Good lord.”
“Xavier Worthy is the definition of SPEED KILLS,” is what former NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III had to say after that touchdown.

After playing three seasons for the Longhorns, Worthy finished his collegiate career with 197 receptions, 2,755 receiving yards, and 26 touchdowns.
