Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly ripped into Taylor Swift for supporting Kamala Harris

Right-wing personality Megyn Kelly made headlines with a sharp rebuke of Taylor Swift following the pop star’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election.

Megyn Kelly to Taylor Swift: You can kiss your sales goodbye

On her SiriusXM podcast, Kelly did not hold back in expressing her disdain for Swift’s political stance, criticizing both the singer and her motivations.

Kelly’s remarks came in response to Swift’s announcement of support for Harris, which was accompanied by a statement praising the vice president’s decision to choose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.

Swift called Walz a champion of LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, and women’s health, stating that she was “so heartened and impressed” by his advocacy.

This endorsement sparked a fierce response from Kelly.

“You can kiss your sales to the Republican audience goodbye, Taylor; hope you enjoyed them while you had them,” she warned, echoing similar sentiments from former President Donald Trump, who had said Swift would “pay a price in the marketplace” for her political stance.

During her podcast, Kelly addressed both Swift’s political influence and her reasoning behind the endorsement.

“If she wants to vote Harris-Walz, she can do it all she wants, but to say the reason she is doing it is because of Tim Walz’s stance on LGBTQ … F you, Taylor Swift,”Kelly said.

She continued with a broader critique, saying, “F all of the people who want to see these children have body parts chopped off and watch them sterilized under the age of consent and then will ride off to their multi-gazillion dollar mansions, never to think of them again.”

Kelly also took aim at Swift’s relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, referring to the couple as “elite snobs.”

She accused both Swift and Kelce of being disconnected from the everyday struggles of their fans, suggesting that Swift’s endorsement came from a position of privilege.

“This pair, Taylor and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, are the epitomes of elite snobs. They both have gazillions of dollars. She doesn’t care what happens to these kids, just like he doesn’t give a shit what happens to all the young men who take the Pfizer booster he’s been pushing on them.”

Taylor Swift stands firm on her political views

Swift, in her endorsement of Harris and Walz, framed her support as aligning with her beliefs in human rights and responsible leadership.

She called Harris a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and expressed confidence in the Democratic ticket’s ability to bring calm, not chaos, to the country.

While Kelly’s tirade drew attention, she was not the only prominent figure to react to Swift’s endorsement.

Former President Trump also weighed in, sharing on Fox & Friends that he was “not a Taylor Swift fan” and preferred Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterbackPatrick Mahomes, whom he called “a big MAGA fan.”

As Swift’s endorsement continues to make waves in the political and entertainment spheres, Kelly’s comments have only further fueled the conversation about the intersection of celebrity influence and political activism in today’s polarized climate.

Whether or not Swift’s Republican fans take Kelly’s words to heart remains to be seen, but the debate over the impact of celebrity endorsements shows no sign of slowing down.
