Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have gotten back together after breaking up in the past, but Fox is ending the cycle, a source told Us Weekly. The outlet spoke to multiple insiders about the star’s headspace in the weeks since she split up from her on-off partner during Thanksgiving. She is currently expecting their first child together.
“There are huge trust issues between them,” its first source said. “This has happened many times before, but this time hurt even deeper because she is pregnant. She has said she isn’t getting back together with him and is moving on.” That insider added that Fox is “trying to focus on being positive.” Page Six, Us Weekly, and TMZ reported that Fox ended her relationship with Kelly after finding things on his phone that made her “not trust him again,” Us’s source said.
Last week, a source told Page Six that “when they went away for the Thanksgiving holiday, she became suspicious and decided to go through his phone. [She] found text messages involving other women and decided she was done.”
Kelly and Fox “haven’t been in contact this last week,” Us’s source shared, adding that “things are not looking great between them right now.”
Fox is optimistic that will change as their baby’s due date approaches. (Fox is reportedly due in March 2025.) “She hopes with them taking time apart right now, they will be able to have a healthy co-parenting relationship. MGK is really letting Megan lead the way right now and is giving her space.”
A second source told Us Weekly that Fox is “so excited” to welcome her and Kelly’s baby. The insider said, “No matter how she feels about MGK, she has a lot of love for him and is excited that they are going to become parents.”
Fox has not spoken out about the breakup. In March, she explained why she was no longer going to talk about her relationship status with Kelly during her appearance on Call Her Daddy.
She said, “I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption. So I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is that [he] is what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul,’ and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain. All those things you said were accurate things that have occurred [that the couple got engaged, called it off, and now aren’t speaking publicly about their relationship status]. And I could see them being confusing, or interesting to people, and them being like, ‘What’s up?’”
