The Kansas City Chiefs kept it going on Monday night as they marked their fifth win in five games to start the new season. This came at the expense of the New Orleans Saints, who succumbed to a 26-13 loss against the two-time defending champs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Patrick Mahomes was on point in this one yet again, completing 28-of-39 passes for 331 yards and one touchdown. The reigning Super Bowl MVP also rushed six times for 22 yards to lead the Chiefs to another impressive victory.
Before the game, the six-time Pro Bowl quarterback mad waves on X (formerly Twitter) for a totally non-football-related matter. This is after Mahomes adorably decided to remind his daughter Sterling about the three-year-old’s bedtime during his pre-game interview.
Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, was also in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night, which meant that she wasn’t able to put the kids to bed at home. The soon-to-be mother-of-three, however, was still monitoring the goings-on in the Mahomes household despite her absence.
Apparently, Patrick Mahomes’ pre-game message had an unwanted consequence on Sterling when she heard Dad’s shoutout on TV.
“She in fact got the zoomies right after she saw this 😂😂” Brittany Mahomes revealed in her Instagram post.
Apparently, Patrick Mahomes’ reminder had the exact opposite effect on his daughter. This isn’t at all surprising. After all, how many three-year-olds out there get a special dedication on national TV on a Monday night?

Hopefully, Sterling was already fast asleep by the time the game ended. It was already around 10 p.m. local time when the Chiefs made their fifth win of the season official.
As for Patrick Mahomes, he’ll probably now think twice about shouting out little Sterling during these late evening games.
