Billy Ray Cyrus Takes Financial Hit After Firerose Divorce

Billy Ray Cyrus’s public image took a serious hit amid his divorce from Firerose. And his finances reportedly aren’t doing much better. He married the younger musician in 2023 but filed for divorce after less than a year.

In addition to filing for divorce, Billy Ray Cyrus sought to annul the marriage on the grounds of fraud. He later claimed that Firerose used his credit cards without permission. She made allegations of abuse in response.

Leaked audio messages hit the internet of Billy Ray Cyrus verbally bashing his ex-wife, Tish, along with his daughter, Miley. Tish and Billy Ray divorced in 2022 after three decades of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences.

In an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Tish Cyrus revealed that she had an epiphany about her marriage during the COVID pandemic when she had to live separately from her then-husband.

“During that period. I took a really good, hard look at life, my life, and like, ‘What was I gonna do?’ Because it had not been in a good place for a long time.”

The leaked audio didn’t make Billy Ray Cyrus look good. He quickly settled the divorce with Firerose, but is reportedly having money troubles.

A source close to the Cyrus family spilled to In Touch that Billy Ray Cyrus is seeking comfort with Tish after his divorce from Firerose. However, Tish has since remarried. She married actor Dominic Purcell in 2023.

“Billy Ray is going through the worst time of his life with the divorce from Firerose and all these money problems, and he’s incredibly needy and attempting to lean on Tish and get sympathy,” the insider revealed.

The source also said that Billy Ray is trying to reconcile with his children. Another source previously told the outlet that Miley Cyrus would be open to trying to repair their fractured relationship now that Firerose is out of the picture.

What Tish’s Husband Thinks

While Tish, Miley, and the other kids may be willing to give Billy Ray another chance, at least one member of the family isn’t buying it. Tish’s current husband is “scoffing at this because Billy Ray treated Tish like garbage for so many years, he’s not buying it.”
