On December 6, Quavo released his new country song titled Georgia Ways, featuring Luke Bryan and Teddy Swims. The music video shared on YouTube has already gained more than 230,000 views and over 14k likes, since its release.

The music video has further garnered immense attention on social media platforms. Many social media users have made references to Quavo’s feud with Chris Brown. The duo reportedly began having differences after Quavo, aka Quavious Keyate Marshall, was rumored to be linked with Karrueche Tran, Brown’s former partner.

While some made references to Chris Brown, others highlighted the apparent use of autotune in the track. Here are some popular responses found on X. A user wrote:

What happened between Quavo and Chris Brown?

Quavo recently experimented with the country genre, and it sparked a debate on social media. As mentioned before, many referred to Chris Brown and the two rappers’ feud, while commenting on his new song Georgia Ways

The beef reportedly began back in 2017, when rumors of a link between the Intentions artist and Karrueche began. It was reignited this year after both artists released songs where they supposedly targeted each other. The first song titled Freak was released by Chris Brown in April 2024.

In the track, Brown rapped the verse:

“Okay, now f–king my old b—hes ain’t gon’ make us equal. Freak b—h, she like Casamigos, not the Migos /I don’t f–k with bougie b—hes, man, that s–t is all hype.”

It was speculated by fans that he was referring to his relationship with Karrueche. Despite the dating rumors between Quavo and Karrueche, they never confirmed it. In May 2022, she even told TMZ, that they were just friends.

After Freak, Quavo dropped Tender, in which he rapped:

“Solitaire stones, carats bugs / You did the b—h wrong and now the b—h gone. She posted with a thug / Call the b—h phone. She won’t come home, don’t beat her up.”

It was speculated that he was referring to the restraining order that Karrueche got against Chris Brown in 2017. E! News previously reported that the model gave a testimony according to which Brown allegedly threatened her to return the diamond rings that he got as gifts for her. In response, Chris Brown dropped Weakest Link, and rapped:

“Stop talkin’ ’bout beatin’ girls, you was beatin’ b–ches on the elevator,” Chris said. “We seen the tapes, that’s devastatin’.”

In the song, Brown was supposedly referring to the allegations against Quavo getting into a physical altercation with his former partner Saweetie in 2020. The 33-year-old Georgia rapper then hit Brown with his final release Over H*es & B*tches, where he mentioned Chris’ alleged assault of Rihanna in 2009.

The impact of the escalated feud could be spotted even in the reactions that netizens made after Georgia Ways was released.
