2024 was a huge year for Post Malone.
Notably, he released his debut country album F-1 Trillion and it quickly became one of the most talked-about albums of the year. More than that, he collaborated with a laundry list of the genre’s biggest names on the album. As a result, he assured his acceptance into the larger country music world. However, 2024 wasn’t just accolades and hit songs for the singer/songwriter. Malone also learned some important lessons last year.
Ahead of his performances at Robert’s Western World for New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, Posty spoke to podcast host and wife of fellow country newcomer Jelly Roll about his year. During the conversation, he revealed the most important lesson he learned in 2024.
Post Malone Reflects on a Massive Year
“What is something that you learned in 2024 that you’ll take into 2025,” Bunnie asked. “Take your time,” Post Malone said after a brief pause. “I feel like for a long time, I was trying to go as fast as I could. Now, I just kind of want to take my time,” he explained. “I can’t even move as fast. Like, I’ve got terrible knees and terrible feet,” he added with a chuckle.
Bunnie Xo also asked Posty about his favorite memory from 2024. He worked with Dolly Parton, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Dwight Yoakam, Jelly Roll, and many other artists over the course of the year. Additionally, Malone appeared at some of the biggest country music festivals and awards shows of 2024. In short, it was a massive—and memorable—year for the Texas native.
“Everything,” he said excitedly. “It was a good year. Doing the songs with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé is like the craziest sh*t that’s ever happened to me in my life,” he added. However, not all of his favorite memories from the year stemmed from his blossoming country music career. “My baby started talking. So now she won’t stop,” he added.
Posty will likely make many more memories and learn new lessons when he hits the road with Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell later this year.
