Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is a very generous gift giver.
The Kansas City Chiefs are having a great start to the 2024 NFL season. Despite their overall success, the Chiefs are one of the few teams that remain undefeated heading into Week 3, quarterback Patrick Mahomes knows the offense still has a lot of work to do.
“We’re not even playing our best football and we’re still getting these wins against great opponents,” Mahomes told reporters on Sunday.
Even Mahomes’ most reliable target, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, appears to be shaking off some rust. Throughout two games, Kelce’s registered a total of four receptions for 39 yards. However, Kelce and Mahomes, teammates and best friends since 2017, will no doubt find their rhythm soon.
After defeating the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium on September 15, the three-time Super Bowl MVP’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, hosted the quarterback’s 29th birthday at their Kansas City mansion. Two days later, on Mahomes’ actual birth date, he revealed the very expensive gift he received from his No. 1 tight end.
During an appearance on “The Drive” with Carrington Harrison, Mahomes mentioned that Kelce bought him a Louis Vuitton golf bag. “I don’t know how much I can use that on the golf course, but it will be nice to have,” Mahomes said.
While Mahomes didn’t clarify which bag Kelce bought, the price range for the golf bags on the designer’s website range from $22,600 to $31,500.
Kelce, who signed a restructured two-year, $34.25 million contract with Chiefs this offseason, also recently inked a $100 million distribution deal for his podcast, “New Heights,” with older brother Jason Kelce, per ESPN. So, he can afford to buy his quarterback nice things.
When Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, wrapped up the European leg of her “Eras’ concert tour last month, the All-Pro sent the singer 51 boxes of red roses that cost him over $31,000, The Sun reported.
