Tiger Woods revealed this time last year that he was planning to play one tournament a month in 2024.
His aim has not come to fruition, with the golf great managing just five appearances.

Only one of those – The Masters – saw Woods finish the weekend after missing three cuts and withdrawing once.
The 48-year-old has been struggling with injuries for years after a car accident in February 2021 left him with serious leg injuries that have required surgeries on a routine basis.
That accident came on the back of back surgery as he attempted to fight his way back to full fitness.
It has now been reported that the former world no. 1 suffered yet another setback over the summer after the entry list for his own tournament was confirmed.
Woods is hosting the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas in December. A star-studded line-up has been announced with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler leading the pack.
But Woods’ name was not on the list for the $4.5million event.
Scheffler, Ludvig Aberg, Patrick Cantlay, Wyndham Clark, Hideki Matsuyama, Sam Burns, Brian Harman, Sahith Theegala, Tony Finau, Sungjae Im, Tom Kim, Aaron Rai, Billy Horschel, Keegan Bradley, Russell Henley, Matthieu Pavon, and Robert MacIntyre are all competing.
There are three exemption spots due to be announced, which could hand Woods a very late chance to compete if he is fit.
He also wanted to compete in the PNC Championship but the 15-time Major winner underwent another back surgery in September.
“The surgery went smoothly, and I’m hopeful this will help alleviate the back spasms and pain I was experiencing throughout most of the 2024 season,” he said.

Scheffler has taken over as the dominant force in golf
“I look forward to tackling this rehab and preparing myself to get back to normal life activities, including golf.”
Woods has now had six back surgeries and will hope he is able to take to the course more often in 2025.
He is expected to participate in The Golf League that he set up with Rory McIlroy.
“I thought I could play a little bit more earlier in the year. I think I was a little bit too optimistic,” Woods admitted in July.
“At the end of last year, it was tough, and I haven’t played a whole lot.
“I think that, as the year has gone on, I have gotten better. I just wish I could have played a little bit more.
“But I’ve been saving it for the majors just in case I do something pretty major and then take myself out of it.”
Woods won the last of his 15 majors in 2019 when he claimed a memorable fifth Masters Green Jacket, but since then his injuries have made more headlines.
The American has taken a significant role off the course, particularly in talks between the PGA Tour and the PIF (Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia) as the two bodies look to bring the game together following the acrimonious LIV Golf breakaway.
He was also strongly linked with the US Ryder Cup capacity for Bethpage in 2025, but after admitting he might struggle with the demands of the role it was announced that Keegan Bradley would lead the team in their attempts to win back the trophy.
